General Contracting
General Contracting is the traditional design-bid-build process for construction project delivery. D&D Building provides General Contracting services for selected and pre-qualified construction projects throughout the Midwest. Construction Management
The Construction Management approach is one that one relies upon early input in the project lifecycle and design process by a qualified CM firm, with continued guidance through project completion. D&D Building relies upon its experience, market knowledge and technology to provide clients with the best information and direction when utilizing a construction management agreement. Bringing D&D Building in during the design process will help clients understand the cost and schedule implications continually throughout the early project’s planning stages. Our leadership, transparency & communication during this process will ensure that during construction the planning efforts will bear fruit for all involved. D&D Building will create bid scopes and work descriptions that maximize the local construction market opportunities to find the best cost, schedule and quality considerations for the client.
Design-Build
Design-Build is a method of project delivery whereas D&D Building works under a single contract with the client to provide design and construction services. One entity, one contract, one unified flow of work from initial concept through completion. Streamlining project delivery through a single contract between the owner and D&D Building transforms the relationship between designers and builders into an alliance, which fosters collaboration and teamwork. United from the outset of every project, an integrated team, led by D&D Building, readily works to successfully complete a project faster, more cost effectively and with fewer change orders. The Design Build method is a process built on mutual trust of the owner and D&D Building to foster creative and innovative ideas that will maximize the value to all project stakeholders. D&D Building teams with architectural, engineering and design partners to ensure the design can be communicated and ultimately realized in a cost effective manner and with an expedited schedule.

D&D’s millwork division supplies high quality products and craftsmanship to the retail, medical, educational, institutional, religious, non-profit, pharmacy, and laboratory sectors. We are capable of both high volume production and one-time custom work.
We offer a wealth of services including CAD services, shop drawing production, construction, shipping, and installation. Refinishing and resurfacing of existing units can also be done either at your facility or in our shop. We are a proud member of the Architectural Woodwork Institute (AWI) since 2001 and have been certified by the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) since 2007.
Our commercial specialty product division offers architectural products and services to architects and contractors throughout the United States. We take that a step further by offering installation services as well. We have project management professionals who assist with take-offs, drawings, and submittals on large and small quantity bids. This growing division supplies miscellaneous metals packages to general contractors and construction managers throughout the midwest. They also fabricate custom pieces and ornamental metals for manufacturers and other corporations across the state.
